How do I resume a stopped Brain conversation?
Brain stopped means its provider process is no longer running. It does not itself mean the saved conversation or project files were deleted. A normal exit code also does not explain why the process stopped.
Before you start
The Resume conversation and Retry controls require Codus 0.2.183 or later. Older installations can instead show a terminal instruction to close and reopen the drawer.
Reconnect
Select that Brain and choose Resume conversation. While connecting, wait for the result instead of repeatedly clicking. Could not connect to Brain shows the error and a Retry button. Check provider installation, sign-in and the actual error before trying again. Reopening a stopped Brain's drawer can also request a reconnect; hiding a running drawer does not stop the Brain.
Recovery uses the saved conversation when available. It is not a promise to recover an unsaved provider session or restart the project's dev server, workers and browser. Those processes need their own status checks.
On an older app, follow the displayed recovery instruction and preserve the error when contacting support. Deleting the Brain tab is not a connection repair.
How do I know it worked?
The provider is running and the intended saved conversation is visible. Confirm the next request receives a response; a vanished error message alone is not enough.
