How do Codus affiliate codes and earnings work?

Open Affiliate in the desktop's bottom bar or the Affiliate page to create and copy your code, view referrals and check earnings. Creating a referral code is available, but payout onboarding is not yet available. A cleared balance is not proof that money has been paid.

Before you start

Sign in with your own Codus GitHub account. Codes must contain 4 to 20 letters or digits, with no spaces or symbols. Some names are unavailable. You have one active code; submitting again does not create unlimited codes. A suspended account must contact support.

Rates, offers, eligibility and thresholds are shown on your current Affiliate page. Check them before advertising an offer rather than copying a percentage from an old screenshot.

Create and share your code

  1. Open Affiliate.
  2. Enter the code you want and use the code-creation button.
  3. If it is taken or invalid, follow the displayed error and choose another.
  4. Once the code appears, click Copy and share it with the checkout address shown.
  5. The referred customer enters the code at checkout and checks the actual discount before paying.

The offer is for eligible first-time transactions. You cannot use your own code for a self-referral. Do not promise a recurring discount or assume an annual subscription receives twelve discounted payments.

Read your earnings

  • Referrals and active referrals are not the same count. Tier progress uses paid referrals in the window shown.
  • Earned records commission; Held is still in its refund-hold period.
  • Cleared has passed that hold; it is not the same as Paid out.
  • Reversed reflects adjustments such as refunded payments.
  • Commission is calculated on the amount Codus receives after tax and card fees, not automatically the full checkout total.

The page currently says Payout onboarding opens soon. There is no working connect-or-withdraw step to follow yet. The displayed schedule and minimum do not establish that a payout has been sent.

How do I know it worked?

Your code appears in your account and can be copied. Eligible paid referrals and their earnings appear in the dashboard. For payment status, distinguish held, cleared and paid rather than treating all earnings as cash received.
