Does my Codus subscription include the AI provider?

Your Codus subscription pays for Codus access, not unlimited Claude, Codex or other provider usage. Use the access or subscription required by your chosen provider. You do not have to buy Claude specifically to run the Brain.

Before you start

Check which provider the agent is set to use and which account is signed in. A Codus GitHub login, an AI-provider login and a connected integration key serve different purposes.

Check the separate costs

  1. Open the quadrant or Brain's provider selector.
  2. Check that provider's account and current terms before starting paid work.
  3. For Claude and Codex, open their status-bar usage panel to inspect reported allowances.
  4. For paid connected services, open Settings → Integrations → View usage where available.

A key saved in Integrations gives access to that service's tools. It is not automatically a replacement for a coding agent's own sign-in. Authentication methods differ by provider; follow the provider's supported setup rather than assuming every agent needs the same subscription.

Hosting, domains, paid data, image or video generation, advertising and other external services can have their own charges. Connecting them does not authorise unlimited spending.

How do I know it worked?

Your chosen agent opens and answers under the intended provider account. Codus billing shows your Codus plan; provider usage and charges remain with that provider.
