Where do I find tasks, notes and the done list?
They live in a side panel next to each project's terminal, in the coding workspace. Across the top of that panel are small tabs: tasks, done and notes. If your team has the Support module, two more appear alongside them, chats and issues. Every project has its own side panel, so what you see changes as you move between projects. The panel opens on the done tab.
Where the panel is
codus calls each project slot a quadrant, and labels them Q1, Q2, and so on. Each quadrant is a terminal (where the agent works) with its own side panel beside it. The panel's header shows the quadrant's label, so you always know which project you are looking at.
The tabs across the top of the panel are:
- tasks: jobs you want the agent to do, and jobs the agent has proposed to you.
- done: a running record of what the agent has finished.
- notes: things you want kept across sessions, like decisions and ideas.
Two more tabs appear only if your team has the Support module turned on:
- chats: live customer-support conversations.
- issues: bugs raised from those conversations, queued for the agent.
If you do not see chats and issues, your account does not have the Support module, which is normal. See What are the modules, and what does each one add?.
Switching tabs
Click any tab to switch to it. The panel opens on done each time, so if you were last on notes and come back, you will land on done again. The tab you are on is highlighted.
Unlike the terminal, the side panel is ordinary point-and-click. You click the tabs, click a task to open its actions, click save on a note. The keyboard-only rule is only for the terminal itself, where the agent runs. See How do I answer the agent when it asks me something?.
Everything is per project
Your tasks, notes and done list belong to the quadrant they were made in, tied to the project folder open there. If you point a quadrant at a different folder, its side panel shows that folder's tasks, notes and done list instead. So a task you added for one project will not show up while you have a different project open. This is deliberate: it keeps each project's work with that project, even if you move it to another slot later.
How do I know it worked?
You are in the right place when you see the panel beside a terminal with tasks, done and notes across the top, and the quadrant's label (like Q1) in the panel header.
Common problems
"I can't see the side panel at all." The panel sits beside each quadrant in the coding view. If your codus is on a different view (like plans), switch back to coding using the tab at the top. The panel's width can also be set in the layout settings, so if it has been turned off there, turn it back on.
"My tasks disappeared." They are tied to the project folder. If the quadrant is now pointed at a different folder, you are seeing that folder's tasks. Point it back at the original project and they return.
"I don't have chats or issues tabs." Those two only appear with the Support module. Their absence is not a fault. See What are the modules, and what does each one add?.
