How do I colour-code a Brain and its workspace tabs?
In Codus 0.2.183 or later, right-click a Brain tab or a workspace tab and choose a swatch under Tab colour. Give related tabs the same colour to recognise a project across your workspace. Matching colours do not link tabs or switch between them automatically.
Before you start
These controls require Codus 0.2.183 or later. If Tab colour is missing, check your installed version and available updates. A missing menu on an older installation does not mean your project is broken.
Choose or remove a colour
- Right-click the Brain's name in the Brain drawer. Under Tab colour, choose red, orange, yellow, green, teal, blue, purple or pink. The Brain tab changes colour.
- Right-click each related workspace tab across the top of the window and choose the same colour. Changing the Brain colour does not recolour its workspace tabs for you.
- To remove a colour, open the same menu and choose No colour.
You can also right-click the Brain, choose Project settings…, change Tab colour and click Save changes. Cancel discards edits in that settings window.
How do I know it worked?
The chosen tabs show their colour after you switch away and back. Colours are saved on this computer and survive restarting Codus. Changing a colour does not move your projects or stop their agents.
Common problems
The tabs match, but clicking the Brain does not open its project. Colour is a visual label. Link the quadrants and enable linked-tab navigation separately.
Another computer has different colours. Project colours and link preferences are saved in this computer's workspace settings. Matching Brain names or synced Brain records do not copy those preferences to another computer.
