What are Off, Double-check and Pristine final checks?
Choose Final checks before finishing in Settings → Agent behaviour to control the final verification workflow. This is separate from Testing rigor, which still applies when final checks are Off.
Choose the level
- Open Settings → Agent behaviour.
- Choose Off, Double-check or Pristine:
- Off: finish normally while following the Testing setting.
- Double-check: rerun the project's existing checks before finishing and report the outcome.
- Pristine: use the most thorough local checking, a second AI opinion where available and, where appropriate, a temporary deliberate defect to test whether a check can catch it.
- For one project, use its quadrant settings instead. Reset removes that project's override and returns to the global default.
These checks run on this computer. Selecting a level does not add online checks, install a test framework or change project setup. Higher checking can take longer and consume more agent usage.
If a check fails
Read the result. A failure, missing tool or unavailable reviewer should be reported honestly, not described as a pass. Choosing a shorter response style does not reduce the checking you requested.
How do I know it worked?
The intended final-check option is selected, and the agent reports actual check results before claiming completion. Check the per-project override if behaviour differs from the global setting.
