Why can't I see the SEO tab?
Almost always because your account does not have the SEO module. The SEO tab is part of that paid add-on, and codus hides the whole area from anyone who does not have it, so a missing tab looks the same as a broken one but is neither. Ask an owner or admin of your team to turn the SEO module on for you, and the tab appears within about a minute.
Before you check anything
The SEO tab sits in the top bar of codus, between your other tabs, labelled SEO. If it is not there at all, work through the list below.
Why it is hidden
- You do not have the SEO module. This is the usual reason. Modules are paid packs, and the SEO one adds the SEO clients, projects and agent team. Without it, the tab is not shown. See What are the modules, and what does each one add?.
- You are a member, not an owner or admin. Only owners and admins can turn a module on, and it is a purchase, so you cannot enable it for yourself. See Who can enable a module?.
- It was recently enabled and has not refreshed yet. After someone turns the module on, codus picks it up within about a minute. Give it a moment.
How to get it
- Ask an owner or admin of your team to turn on the SEO module for your seat. Point them at How do I turn a module on for someone?.
- Wait about a minute. The SEO tab appears in the top bar on its own, with no restart needed.
How do I know it worked?
A tab labelled SEO shows in the top bar. Click it and you get the SEO workspace. See What is the SEO tab, and how do I use it?.
Common problems
"A colleague has the SEO tab and I do not." Modules are per seat. Your colleague's seat has the SEO module and yours does not. An owner or admin adds it to your seat.
"I saw all the tabs once and now there are fewer." A development or demo build shows every area regardless of what is paid for. A normal account shows only the modules it holds, so fewer tabs is expected.
"It was there and now it is gone." The module may have been turned off, or you may be signed into a different account. Check with an owner or admin. If a promised area is missing, see I was given a pack but I can't see its tab.
