How do I see my tasks across all my projects?

Open the List tab. It gathers your tasks from every project into one place, with an Open and a Closed view, a folder list down the side, filters for status and source, and a search box at the top. Tap any task to open it, follow the agent's progress, and reply.

What the List tab shows

  • A folder list. On a wide screen this sits on the left under Folders, starting with All folders. Each folder shows how many tasks it has. Tap one to narrow the list to that project. On a phone, the same picker sits above the list.
  • Open and Closed. Two counts near the top. Open covers tasks that are proposed, waiting, or running. Closed covers tasks that are done or cancelled. Tap to switch between them.
  • Status and Source filters. Status narrows to one state such as running or done. Source splits tasks by where they came from: Cloud for ones you made on the web, Desktop for ones made in the Mac app.
  • A search box. The Search tasks field at the top of the page matches task text, notes, and folder.
  • A + New task button. Create a task from here. See How do I run a task on my computer from my phone?.

Steps: find a task

  1. Open the List tab.
  2. Tap a folder in the sidebar to focus one project, or leave it on All folders.
  3. Switch between Open and Closed depending on what you are looking for.
  4. To narrow further, set the Status or Source filter, or type in the Search tasks box.
  5. Tap the task to open it.

If nothing matches, the list says "No open tasks match the current filters." with a nudge to "Try clearing a filter, or create a new task." Clear the filter you set and your tasks come back.

Following a task

Open a task and you get its full detail, including a Live activity section. This is where you keep up with the agent from your phone:

  • While the task is running, the agent posts short progress lines here. Before it has said anything, you see "No narration yet — Claude will report progress as it works. Type below to send a message."
  • Any screenshots the agent takes attach to the task, so you can see the result.
  • To send the agent a message, type in the Reply to Claude… box and send. Your message shows "sending…" and then "delivered" once it reaches the desktop.

How do I know it worked?

Your open tasks show up under Open with their status, the folder they belong to, and, where a live desktop has the folder open, an Execute control. The counts by each folder tell you at a glance where your work is piling up.

Common problems

  • A task shows the grey word "offline" instead of a run button. No live desktop has that folder open. See I can't run a task I created on my phone.
  • My list looks empty but I know I have tasks. Check the Open and Closed counts, and whether a Status, Source, folder, or search filter is hiding them. The empty note tells you to clear a filter.
  • I want to watch several desktops at once, not a flat list. Use the Quadrants tab instead. See How do I see my live desktops?.
