# Can I run more than one SEO project at once?

Yes. You can run several projects at the same time, across one client or many, and codus runs a batch of them together. By default it runs up to six at once. Start more than that and the extras wait in a queue and begin automatically as the running ones finish, so you can line up a whole day's work and walk away.

## Before you start

- You need more than one project. Create as many as you like, under one brand or across several. See [How do I add an SEO client and create a project?](how-do-i-add-an-seo-client-and-project.md).

## How to run several

1. Open the first project and click **Run team**, then **Run**. It starts.
2. Open the next project and do the same. Repeat for as many as you want.
3. Each project you start either begins right away, if a slot is free, or joins the queue.

You do not queue them from one screen. You start each project, and codus handles slotting them in.

## What running and queued look like

- A project that is running shows green **Team** dots and a **Stop** button.
- A project that is waiting for a slot shows as **Queued**, and its run button reads **Cancel** rather than **Stop**. Click **Cancel** to take it back out of the queue.
- When a running project finishes, the next queued one starts on its own. You do not have to come back and press anything.

You can see a project's state at a glance in the left column, and in a brand's overview each project (study) is listed with its status: **Draft**, **Queued**, **Running**, **Needs input**, **Done** or **Error**.

## How do I know it worked?

Several projects show green **Team** dots at the same time, and any beyond the limit sit as **Queued** and start themselves as slots free up. Nothing is lost by starting more than can run at once; they wait their turn.

## Common problems

**"I started a project and it only says Queued."** All the run slots are busy. It starts automatically when one frees up. If you want it sooner, stop a project you care about less.

**"How many run together?"** Six by default. The rest queue and begin as running projects finish.

**"Can different clients run at the same time?"** Yes. The limit is on how many projects run together in total, not per client.
