# How do I turn a module on for someone?

On the team page, find the person, click the module you want under their name, then click **Activate & pay** in the bar that appears at the bottom. It is two clicks, not one: the first only selects the module, and the payment bar is what actually turns it on. The person gets the new area in codus within about a minute, with no restart.

Modules are a paid add-on, £99 per seat per month each, charged immediately.

## Before you start

- You must be an **owner** or **admin**.
- **The person must already have a seat.** Module buttons do not appear at all for someone without one. If you cannot see any modules under a person, assign them a seat first. See [How do I add someone to my team?](../plans-billing-seats/add-a-teammate.md).

## Steps

1. Go to [app.trycodus.com/team](https://app.trycodus.com/team).
2. Find the person in the **Seats** panel. Under their name is a row of module buttons, for example **SEO +£99/mo**.
3. Click the module you want. It turns amber and reads **· selected**. **This has not charged anything yet.**
4. A bar appears pinned to the bottom of the screen showing the exact amount, for example **Activate & pay £99.00**.
5. Click **Activate & pay**. This is the click that buys it. You can select several modules first and pay for them together.

## The mistake almost everyone makes

Clicking the module button once is not enough. It only marks it selected and changes its colour. If you click it and then navigate away without clicking **Activate & pay** in the bottom bar, **nothing has been bought** and the person's tab will never appear.

Turning a module off is different: that is a single click with no confirmation. It is only turning one on that needs the payment step.

## How do I know it worked?

The module button shows a tick, for example **SEO ✓**, and you see **Charged £99.00 now — module active immediately**. On the person's side, the new area appears in codus within about a minute. They do not need to restart, and neither do you.

If they are sitting in codus watching for it, tell them to wait a minute rather than restart. Restarting does no harm but does not make it faster.

## What it costs

£99 per seat per month per module, or £990 per year. It is charged straight away, adjusted for how much of the current month is left, and added to your existing subscription. There is no separate invoice.

## If it does not appear for them

- **Give it a full minute.** It is not instant.
- **Check you actually paid**, not just selected. Look for the tick on the module button.
- **Check your own subscription is active.** Modules for your whole team are carried on the account that pays for the plan. If that payment lapses, everyone's modules stop until it is sorted.
