# Is there a Codus iPhone app?

Yes. The Codus iPhone app is in public beta through Apple's TestFlight, and anyone can install it from this link: **https://testflight.apple.com/join/mKXbwFPM**. It is not in the App Store yet.

The app lets you chat with your Brains from your phone. Your Brain still runs on your computer, so keep Codus open on an awake computer with an internet connection.

## Install it

1. On your iPhone, open **https://testflight.apple.com/join/mKXbwFPM**.
2. If you don't have Apple's **TestFlight** app, the page sends you to the App Store to get it. Install TestFlight, then open the link again.
3. Tap **Accept**, then **Install**. Codus appears on your home screen like any other app.
4. Open Codus and tap **Sign in with GitHub**. Use the same GitHub account as the Codus desktop app, so your phone sees your Brains.

## What you can do in the app

- See every Brain on your computers, each with its last message, and open one to chat.
- Send messages, photos and videos to a Brain, and see its replies, screenshots and videos as they arrive.
- Film a video script a Brain sends you, with the script rolling at the top of the screen next to the camera. See [How do I film a script the Brain sends to my phone?](../video/film-a-script-the-brain-sends.md)
- Turn on notifications in **Settings** so your phone tells you when a Brain replies or needs you. Tapping one opens that Brain's chat.
- Turn on the Face ID lock in **Settings** if you want the app to ask for Face ID when it opens.

## Updates

New beta versions arrive through TestFlight; turn on **Automatic Updates** for Codus in the TestFlight app to get them without tapping **Update**. Some smaller fixes arrive the next time you open the app. A TestFlight beta expires after 90 days, so TestFlight asks you to install the newer build when one is due.

## No iPhone?

There is no Android app yet. On Android, or on any computer, use the Codus web app at **app.trycodus.com** in your browser. It has the same Brain chat. See [How do I chat with my Brain from my phone?](chat-with-your-brain-from-your-phone.md)

## How do I know it worked?

After you sign in, the app lists your Brains. Open one, send a message, and the Brain's reply appears in the app and in the Brain's Chat view on your computer.
